Visiting Victoria, BC - document requirements
Our neighbor to the north, Vancouver Island, British Columbia, is a great place to visit and you don’t have to take your car!
Victoria is a walkabout city, within easy access of the COHO
ferry terminal and the Victoria bus system to ease navigation.
With all the discussion about acceptable documentation to enter/exit Canada/US, the current documents
accepted for border crossing back and forth using the ferry are:
- valid US or Canadian passport or:
-
enhanced driver’s license (state or provincial issue) or:
- regular driver’s license and
birth certificate (with seal) or:
- US military ID card or US Merchant Mariner Document or:
- Native American Tribal Identification Card or:
- Indian and North Affairs (INAC) card
US and CANADIAN citizen children under the age of 18 will need a birth certificate and parental proof of custody/or permission from custodial parent for single parent crossing.
Be prepared to enjoy your stay by having above documents with you when you visit us!
