With summer almost here, thoughts are turning to the fun of camping out.
There are several places to enjoy the outdoors around the peninsula and in Olympic National Park.
Salt Creek Recreation Area west of Port Angeles is a good site for families; Harrison Beach is west of Joyce and offers tenting and camping (360-928-3006); and Shadow Mountain has both RV and camping facilities.
