“Avenue of the People” will be unveiled on Saturday, Aug. 9th at 6pm.  This newest addition to downtown Port Angeles’ sidewalks is being created by Bob Stokes (Studio Bob) and Gray Lucier, along with Mike Anderson.  ‘People’ is an installment project, with these 7 being part of a group of 14 sculptures in all.  The unveiling will begin at 6p at the corner of Railroad Ave. and Laurel St., progressing south on Laurel, with each sculpture or set of sculptures being individually revealed.  The event is about an hour long.  Food and beverages will be provided by Michael’s Fine Dining.The 2008-9 Art on the Town collection will also be open on Saturday with guided tours at 11:30a, 1:30P, and 3:30p. Meet at the Landing mall, 115 E. Railroad Ave. for any of the tours.
