Art Ranger Tours
Port Angeles Fine Arts Center director and resident curator, Jake Seniuk, will present the final Art Ranger Tours through Webster’s Woods Art Park on Saturday, Sept. 13 @ 10 am and Wednesday Sept. 17 @ 2 pm.
Webster’s Woods is rare among sculpture parks in its close integration of the artists’ works into the natural landscape and Seniuk’s commentary is sure to help visitors become more aware of artworks that they might otherwise overlook. In a 90-minute trail walk around the former Webster Estate, Seniuk will share his curatorial perspective and the background stories to many of the more than two hundred artworks that he has collected here since 2000. Now in its ninth season the Woods has had a recent renewal with works by 19 Northwest artists.
The walk around the five-acre estate is mostly over dirt trails, may have muddy patches, and has some steep sections. Please wear appropriate shoes and outerwear.
The Center and Webster’s Woods is located at 1203 E. Lauridsen Blvd. behind the Jones Street reservoir tank and is open daylight hours year round. Admission to the park and the guided tour is free.
