NOLS encourages you to choose privacy in your personal life by protecting your private information. Bring personal documents for confidential shredding in exchange for a donation supporting the Port Angeles Food Bank. Participants are welcome to bring a bag of non-perishable food or a monetary donation of $10 (check preferred, cash and cards also accepted) to benefit the PAFB, but donations are not required to participate. There is a limit of 2 grocery-sized bags of documents for shredding per person. Please have bags of documents ready in your vehicle for a convenient drive-through and drop-off service. Please stay in your vehicle and follow the directions of volunteers to drive through the parking lot, where a volunteer will collect your documents. Shredding service will be provided by LeMay Mobile Shredding and is appropriate for confidential papers containing personal information that you need to disposed of, such as bills, receipts, legal documents, medical records, and more. This shred event is for paper only: no disks, CDs, DVDs, flashdrives, or other media storage can be accepted. Staples, paperclips, and rubber bands are ok, but binders, rings, and hanging file folders must be removed. All documents will be destroyed on-site and all paper will be recycled. LeMay Mobile Shredding personnel are certified by the National Association of Information Destruction. This program is funded by the Port Angeles Friends of the Library.
