Benefits of Membership
Membership Benefits
The Chamber has earned a reputation as a well-organized and strong supporter of the local community and our economy. Chamber membership confirms the perception that you stand for these things, and you support them. Research shows that 44% of consumers are more likely to think favorably of Chamber-involved small businesses, and 63% are more likely to purchase your goods or services.
Our website, www.PortAngeles.org, gets nearly half a million unique visits each year, so having your business listed here, as well as in our annual Business Directory & Visitor Guide publication, provides you unmatched exposure for the low cost of membership. The Chamber also manages the Port Angeles Visitor Center, which draws about 60,000 visitors each year, and we display Chamber member flyers and information at no cost.
Chamber meetings and events provide excellent opportunities to meet and mix with other business owners and community organizations and leaders. The Chamber also offers opportunities to network and connect by serving on our Board of Directors, supporting our events as a volunteer, or by becoming a Chamber Ambassador.
The power of many: the Chamber represents more than 425 businesses, so our voice is heard and respected in many local jurisdictions, board rooms, councils, and media publications. Our annual Business Climate Survey provides a chance for you to voice your opinions on a variety of topics, and your views are represented where the Chamber participates: City Council, Association of Washington Businesses, the North Olympic Legislative Alliance, and numerous civic committees.

Chamber members benefit from well-timed email announcements, the Chamber monthly newsletter, announcements at our regular meetings, and updates to our website. Also, our office is staffed 362 days a year, so we answer the phone (unless busy) and your questions when you call.
When people call or visit the Chamber, or the Port Angeles Visitor Center, with an opportunity or a need, we refer them to our members first. As a connected organization with the largest number of business members on the Olympic Peninsula, we consider it one of our main roles to link requirements with solutions, and to join together businesses that can gain by supporting each other.
The list here is long: no-cost advertisements in our monthly newsletter, monthly after-hours events, monthly luncheon sponsorships, ribbon-cuttings, event sponsorships. Each year Chamber events will attract more than 30,000 visitors to Port Angeles, nearly 500,000 visitors will visit our website, and more than 1,500 people will read our newsletters—keeping our member businesses top of mind.
One of the main tenets of the Chamber, reflected in our 5-Year Strategic Plan, is community building. Because of that the Chamber has worked to build community pride, in partnership with our member businesses. We produce events that benefits local small businesses, such as the annual 4th of July Community Celebration and the Annual Winter Ice Village. Any business that is not a Chamber member still gets this benefit, but by joining the Chamber, you can be proud to know you not only are taking advantage of it, but you also support it.
The Chamber heads many economic development efforts that benefit your business, including the Annual Business Climate Report, the Clallam Opportunity Investment Network (COIN), County-wide Job Fairs, and ELEVATE PA 2026. We also process Certificates of Origin for member businesses who export products overseas.
