Walk Safely, PA! Walk Safely, PA! is a public forum presented by the Port Angeles Public Safety Advisory Board – Senior Committee and the PA Senior and Community Center. For the Feb. 7th forum, Deputy Tracey Kellas, Clallam County Sheriff’s Department Animal Control, will discuss the role, responsibilities and jurisdiction of the Animal Control Deputy. She will also tell of her experiences as a Deputy, her training, and the nuances of being a successful Animal Control Deputy. Whether walking or wheeling in our neighborhoods, on sidewalks or across busy streets, in parks and other public spaces, alone or in groups, day or night, if encountered by dogs off leash, and while shopping, Seniors are aware of safety and accessibility factors differently than when they were younger and healthier. The PA PSAB-Senior Committee would like to know of your experiences, observations and concerns. Please fill out the survey provided at the Senior Center, or by receiving it by email from Aubry Bright, Senior Center Manager, 360-457-7004. Please return the survey to the Senior Center in person or mail it: 328 E. 7th St. Port Angeles. 98362. The Feb. 7th public forum will be held at 11:00-12:15 via Zoom. You may access this forum link at the PA Senior and Community Center Facebook page on Feb. 7th, or by having it sent to you from Aubry (phone number above). If you need help learning how to join the Zoom meeting on your computer or phone, please contact Aubry.
